2019 Mercedes A-Class Sedan AMG

Check Out the New AMG-Powered Mercedes A-Class Sedan Lap the Nurburgring

When Mercedes finally unveiled the new A-Class sedan set to go on sale in the US next year, the only thing I was left wondering is, where’s the AMG version? Well, this spy video taken at the Nurburgring could be giving us our first look.

Taken recently at the Green Hell during an industry test pool session, this video seems to show a heavily camouflaged high-performance version of the new A-Class sedan doing some hard lapping.

The video’s uploader suggests this is the upcoming “35” level AMG version of the A-Class, which has already been announced in hatchback form. That car is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four making 306 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels. It’s likely the sedan will have similar specs, but we can’t know for sure until the car is made official.

In the meantime, check out the car as it cuts through bends and gets pushed to the limit.
