We Can Confirm the Mercedes-AMG Project One Hypercar Has Headlights

At the Frankfurt Motor Show in just two weeks, Mercedes-AMG will unveil the Project One, a hybrid hypercar with an 1.6 liter V6 from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 car and four electric motors to give it an output of at least 1000 horsepower and a top speed of more than 217 mph.

We have seen its powertrain, but we haven’t seen just how the exterior will look. But thanks to this teaser from Mercedes, we can start to put the pieces together. First, we can exclusively reveal that the Project One will feature not one, but two headlights. There will be an AMG logo in a front grille, like Audi does with ‘quattro’ branding on the RS7 and the Mercedes three-pointed star appears to be mounted on the hood at an angle.

There is a snorkel on the roof to feed air to the 1.6 liter F1 engine that’ll rev to 11,000 rpm. The cockpit also appears rather narrow, much like the one on the Ford GT. Granted, we can’t tell too much from this teaser, but it just gets us more excited to see the full car in just a few short weeks.
